DRIFTERS_250The Drifters were originally formed in 1953. George Treadwell managed their affairs until his death in 1967. His wife Faye, then took subsequent control. She guided the group through their most prolific period, from 1967 until 2002.

However, Faye Treadwell failed to renew the Drifters trademark in the United Kingdom, and returned home to the United States after the death of the 'infamous' Mr. Johnny Moore.
